How to Sell a Haunted House

How to Sell a Haunted HouseAs a founder of XONEX who has been here since the very beginning, I have a lot of relocation stories to share. But, it’s at this ‘spooky’ time of the year that I think back to probably the most unusual home sale we’ve ever done.  Indeed, Halloween is a perfect time to tell this tale…

HR Interview: Top 5 Things Every HR Professional Should Know about Relocation

Top 5 Things Every HR Professional Should Know about Relocation We spend a lot of time here writing about relocation issues that we believe are impacting human resources departments on a regular basis. My hope is that we provide helpful advice to our clients, prospects and peers. But, it also dawned on me that we could use more posts from actual HR managers on the issues THEY believe are pertinent. So, when my colleague challenged me to write a blog post on the top five things that every HR professional should know about relocation, I had an aha moment. Why make assumptions when we can just ask our friends?

Relocation Tax Series: Medicare and Long-Term Capital Gains Tax

David Oltman Relocation Tax ExpertThere has been much conversation about the current tax uncertainty in Washington. The Relocation Upside to a Zombie Apocalypse

The Relocation Upside to a Zombie ApocalypseSunday is almost here and I’m excited. The Walking Dead returns and I’m ready to get spooked with the best of them, just in time for Halloween. Live Relocation Event: Get the Buzz from ERC’s Global Workforce Symposium

It’s that time of year again! I’m thrilled to be at Worldwide ERC’s Global Workforce Symposium in Washington, D.C. today. One of the things I love about this conference is networking. I get to meet some really cool people. In fact, I’ve already chatted with someone from The Geek Squad, a fine home builder, a real estate professional who has pedaled 600 miles on his bike, a straight shooting HR professional that I’ve known forever, a sky-diving mortgage expert and a global mobility manager that does sprint triathlons. Needless to say, the cocktail conversation has been great. So, I thought, what’s a better way to share it with you than to blog live from the event?
